$850.00 a week includes lodging and 2 active bait sites.

**In addition to the trapping license you will also need a bear permit (required to hunt bear outside of the regular firearm season on deer)which is an additional $68.00 for non-residents & $28.00 for residents.**
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I get a trapping license?
All trapping licenses are issued from the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Office, 284 State Street, 41 State House Station, Augusta, ME  04333.  (Renewal Forms are mailed annually to trappers who had a license the previous year.)
 
Do I need to take a trapper education course?
When you apply for any Maine trapping license (except a junior trapping license), you must show proof of having  successfully completed a state-approved trapper education course OR show proof of having held an adult trapping license (in Maine or any other state) since 1978.
 

Other Trapping Available in Maine:
Statewide Trapping for Bobcat, coyote, fisher, fox, marten, mink, muskrat, opossum, otter, raccoon, red squirrel, skunk, and weasel - October 30 through December 31

Early Fox & Coyote Trapping:  October 16 through October 29

Early Muskrat Trapping:  WMD's 1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10,11 only - October 23 through October 29

Beaver Trapping:  Seasons will be set by early fall.

(Note: Nonresidents are not allowed to trap for beaver.)

If you are a nonresident who is not a citizen of the United States (nonresident alien), you are not allowed to trap in Maine.
